The Ritz Ybor is a historic live music and nightlife venue on 7th Avenue in Tampa’s Ybor City, hosting touring bands, electronic artists, DJs, and other live events throughout the year. Unlike Tampa’s larger arenas and amphitheatres, The Ritz is primarily a standing-room venue, creating a more intimate concert experience with the crowd gathered close to the stage.

The venue’s location in the heart of Ybor City also makes it easy to combine a show with dinner, drinks, or nightlife before or after the event. Age restrictions vary between shows, so check the individual event details before buying tickets.

Standing Room & What to Expect

The Ritz Ybor is primarily a general-admission standing-room venue rather than a traditional seated theater. Most shows place the crowd on the floor, creating an energetic, close-to-the-stage atmosphere, but you should expect to stand for most or all of the show. Outside chairs are not permitted.

🎟️ Ticket Tip: For general-admission shows, arriving earlier can give you more choice over where you stand, especially if being closer to the stage is important to you.

Age Restrictions & Entry Policies

Age requirements vary by event, so check the restriction listed for your specific show before buying tickets. A valid physical ID is required for age-restricted events and for guests 21 and older purchasing alcohol.

Backpacks and large bags, outside food and drinks, and professional camera equipment are prohibited. Small purses are permitted and subject to inspection. The Ritz is also a cashless venue, accepting card and digital payments.

📍 Visitor Tip: Travel light. Bringing only what you need makes entry easier and is more convenient in a standing-room crowd.

Parking & Getting There

The Ritz Ybor is on East 7th Avenue in the heart of Ybor City. The Centro Ybor Parking Garage is directly behind the venue, with additional paid lots and street parking available around the neighborhood.

Ybor City can become busy on weekend nights and when multiple events are happening nearby, so allow extra time for parking and walking to the venue. The TECO Line Streetcar also serves Ybor City and connects the neighborhood with Downtown Tampa, the Channel District, and the Water Street area.

Accessibility

The Ritz Ybor is wheelchair accessible but does not have a designated ADA seating section. Guests who need specific accommodations or use medical equipment should contact the venue before their event so staff can help with individual needs.

About The Ritz Ybor

The building dates to 1917, when it opened as the Rivoli Theatre. It later became the Ritz Theatre and served different roles over the decades, including as a movie theater, playhouse, and nightclub before reopening as The Ritz Ybor in 2008.
